Happy New Year

All I can say is, if you told me last New’s Year’s Eve what would actually happen in 2008, I would have thought you had quite the over active imagination.

I am jobless (but well cared for-thanks, honey!) and live 300 miles away from the only place I’ve ever known.  We thought our family would have grown by now and and I never could have guess the low back pain that was to come.  One constant though, Tony and Matthew.  As you all know they are awesome.  I could also not forget the rest of our sweet family, including my sister and her family, Tony’s family (they’ve always been so good to me) and our good friends Ben, Paula, Jackson, Dee, Geoff & Elizabeth, and Deb and my friends at the paper and I am sure I forgot someone. This time of year is always a good time to count your blessings.  I feel happy to have so many to count.

Happy New Year–2009 will be different.  That’s for sure.

  1. Happy New Year to all of you too! Glad Matthew likes the book – it was one of Kinsey’s favorites and as we are about to leave him in Tyler for next semester (on his own for the first time!) I’m feeling kinda weepy about his childhood things – enjoy Matthew now – he will grow up way to fast!
I’m glad it is January and the insurance can kick in – hope you get some relief from the back pain soon.

  2. Yes 2008 was a crazy year and I am glad it is over. Haha I just know that 2009 is going to be much better. We do have many things to be thankful for. I know that God is watching over me and my family. We are very proud of Tony and we are glad that everything is working out in Austin. Also, I would not call you jobless. You have the most important job there is. Taking care of your family and raising your son is a full time job. Have a great day. Love you all!

  3. Happy New Year to all! It was wonderful seeing you all Christmas. I can not wait to come down and spend a few days with the Lewis family. His Uncle Billy & I miss Matthew daily. I know his Uncle Billy was wanting to come with me too but maybe next time.
I am excited about seeing the capitol again and I know we will be busy exploring Austin.
I hope Matthew has taken lots of pictures with his camera. Maybe I can teach him some cool techniques & he can be my apprentice! Ha Ha.
Love You All & see you real soon.
